FREE Walking Tours

A Tapestry Tour

Experience the interwoven elements that make Durham amazing.

Think you know Durham, but sometimes you doubt it?
Take a one-hour walk; learn more about it
Friday at five, by the bull statue
Entertainment for free—that’s where I meet you!

We won’t go far, your feet won’t ache
While you hear the lyrical references I make
Enjoy our city’s funky aesthetic
While about our diversity I wax poetic!

We’ll talk about Dukes, and chefs, and hoops if there’s time
Each of them described in a series of rhymes
Guaranteed to enjoy it? Well, that depends
But you might like it more if you bring some friends!

These Tapestry Tours are FREE walking tours of downtown Durham, featuring poetic presentations about the many "threads" of Durham's Diversity.
Current Dates:
September 13, Sept. 20, Sept. 27, 2019 — 5pm
October 4, 5pm

Each tour begins and ends at the statue of Major the Bull on CCB Plaza, opposite the Unscripted Hotel, and behind 21C. Each tour will last about an hour, with light walking and laughter.
